Hi, I’m Olivia Gambocarto, LMBT (NC#22730)
After more than 10 years in the environmental field (waste reduction, recycling, and compost), I decided I really wanted to see results sooner and with my own hands. I started my massage program in the spring of 2024 and if you haven’t heard someone say it before, massage school will change your life.
I became a licensed massage and bodywork therapist (NC#22730) in July 2025. I started OG Bodywork and Massage as my own private practice housed within the beautiful space that is Heart and Sole Wellness Co. and Spa in Graham, NC.
Since then I’ve had the pleasure of working with a multitude of clients to relieve their pain, provide relaxation, and give much needed touch.
What I want people to know:
I enjoy science and anatomy just as much as the energetics and artful parts of massage and it is my goal to blend them both. When you come to me, I will take you through a series of assessments asking your body questions. Through these assessments we may uncover areas the body is asking for work in first.
Depending on your session length and specific goals we may move through that work in different ways; always prioritizing the whole organism’s hierarchy.
My hands on bodywork is slow, calm, and prioritizes moving at a pace in which the nervous system can integrate. I do not like to meet force with force, instead I prefer working through invitation; invitation to let go, invitation to receive, invitation to breathe more deeply.

What to Expect
There are as many styles of massage and bodywork as there are practitioners. As such, I’d like to offer a few words to guide what you might expect from me, OG Bodywork and Massage.
I weave assessment informed bodywork with intuition. I know and believe that humans co-regulate through touch. I aim to be as grounded and tuned in to you as possible.
I consider myself to be part of your health team, similar to how you might think of your physical therapist. I believe that bodywork is an essential part of wellbeing, and a modality to help integrate anything you’re working on in your life. I have experienced first hand that this work can go far deeper than offering relaxation and tension release.
Bodywork has the capability of changing your life; what the mind conceals the body reveals. Lets work together.

How do I know how long of an appointment to book?
1
Good question! I offer bodywork in time based increments (60, 75, 90, 120 minute sessions). There is no wrong way to receive bodywork. If you haven’t had a 2 hour (120 minute) massage, I highly recommend doing it at least once.
If coming in for a 60 minute session is how you’re able to fold massage into your self-care and busy schedule, book that!
If you have a complex health history and are really looking for answers and haven’t found someone to help you yet, I would love to have 75 or 90 minutes with you to explore a multitude of tools that could get you some results.
All sessions are custom to you and your needs.
Assessment? Why?
2
I’ve always been someone driven to work “smarter not harder” and once you learn that the body has a hierarchy it prioritizes (brain and spinal cord first, the containers of those organs, the viscera (guts) and their containers, then the rest of the body) you realize that your body is always trying to protect you, even if it doesn’t feel like that (i.e. pain or loss of mobility).
Asking the body where it might be protecting something often allows for better results since we’re meeting your body where it is and inviting change instead of forcing anything.
What makes you different?

I hold both assessment driven bodywork and the art of caring touch in each hand, side by side. I want to hold space for creative and intuitive bodywork built on a framework of anatomy,

When you come to see me you’ll be welcomed into a warm and cozy space full of good energy. We’ll start with a bit of conversation, what you’re looking for and how your body is feeling. I’ll bring you through a round of assessments and from there make some suggestions as to our treatment plan for that day.
Depending on what your body is telling me, you may stay clothed and we’ll do some cupping or manual manipulation (massage) in specific areas and then retest to see if we’ve moved the needle.
Other times your body will give us the go ahead to jump into a more classic massage, unclothed (covered appropriately with sheets and blankets) on a warm and soft table where you’ll be supported with pillows and bolsters so that you can relax fully to receive your massage.
Primary modalities
Assessment
Visceral and nervous system informed orthopedic assessments of the Locator Test Assessment Protocol (LTAP) developed by Anna Hartman of MovementREV.
By asking the body a series of questions I am able to ascertain whether or not there is a protection pattern in place and how we might remove that to lessen the bodies defense and soften allowing all other bodywork to become more affective for you.
myofascial release
Typically a dry (no oil/lotion) technique designed to gently stretch the layers of fascia that wrap around every single one of our tissues.
This technique is very slow, gentle, and intentional. Allowing time and space for the bodies fascia to rehydrate and move into a more flexible gel like state through pressure and stretch mechanisms.
Cupping
I use both static (unmoving) and dynamic (moving) cupping techniques with hard and soft (silicone) cups.
Most massage with hands/feet/arms is moving inward on the bodies tissues. Cupping allows us to get some lift, triggering different neurological receptors in the skin to influence tissues in different ways.
Cupping can be very gentle and not leave any marks. On occasion cupping can leave bruise like marks from increase blood flow; these should subside quickly.
